Chop A Forest: How to Sell Logs for Coins

Logs in Chop A Forest are sold at a sell spot in the game world, on foot or by vehicle. Here's where to take your haul, and the sights and sounds that confirm your Coins arrived.

In Chop A Forest, selling happens at a sell spot in the game world: you carry your logs there, and the sale happens on the spot. The logs convert into Coins right there — a coin sound plays, money visibly flows in, and your hands or cargo empty. That's the core loop the game is built around: break trees to collect logs, sell the logs for Coins, and spend the Coins on tools, upgrades and classes.

How to sell your logs

  1. Collect the logs from trees you've cut down. If you're new to felling trees, the how to chop trees guide covers that part.
  2. Take them to the sell spot. Early on you'll walk the logs over yourself. Once you own a vehicle, you load it up and drive to what one player calls the "drive sell spot". It's the same sell point on every haul, so after one or two trips you'll know exactly where to go.
  3. Sell or unload at the spot. On foot, you sell the logs you're carrying. In a truck, you unload the cargo at the sell point and it converts together.

How you know the Coins arrived

A completed sale gives you clear feedback, so you never have to guess:

  • Your logs disappear. Held logs or the truck's cargo are emptied at the sell point — an empty truck means the haul converted.
  • A coin sound plays during the sale. It's distinctive enough that one player called it outright annoying, so you will hear it.
  • Money visibly flows in, with payout amounts shown as they arrive. One rainbow-timber haul, for example, paid out 29. Treat that as a single example rather than a rate — payouts vary with the size of the haul and the type of wood.

How many logs you can sell per trip

How much reaches the sell spot at once is limited by carry capacity. Observed runs show a hand limit of about 4–5 pieces, a purchased bag upgrade holding 10 items, and roughly 50 wood in a truck; one player bought a car for 500 specifically to sell everything in one trip instead of shuttling back and forth. If repeated small trips are wearing you out, that's the same fix the observed players reached for: a bag upgrade first, then a vehicle (see the garage cars guide).

What affects the payout

Wood type matters. One mid-game observation: white wood sells for more than ordinary wood. No per-type prices were shown, so treat it as extra value on top of your haul size rather than a rate to plan around.

Once the Coins land, they go straight back into progression — better tools, tool upgrades and classes. The how to get coins guide covers earning more broadly, and the tool progression guide covers what those Coins buy next. New players can also start from the beginner guide.
