Chop A Forest Tools List: The Cutting Tools and What They Do
The Chop A Forest tools list: fists, axe, chainsaw trial, dynamite and the vacuum — with prices, Robux options and what each tool actually does in play.
In recorded Chop A Forest play, trees come down four ways — with your fists, the axe, the chainsaw and dynamite — while the vacuum, a tool-shop item that doesn't cut at all, gathers the fallen wood for you. The axe costs 150 in-game bucks and dynamite 2,500 in the tool shop, the chainsaw comes as a timed 5-minute trial, and each of the shop tools — axe, chainsaw, vacuum and dynamite — also has Robux purchase options in the store. Because the game displays no numeric damage or speed stats for tools, this list sticks to what each tool costs, how you get it and what it actually did in recorded play.

Fists — the default chopper
You don't start with a tool at all. Recorded playthroughs begin the same way: punching trees with bare fists. The upgrades tab sells upgrades that make your fists deal more damage to trees, and one starting player called the early damage gains really good after a few purchases. New to the game? The Chop A Forest beginner guide covers the chop, collect and sell loop from zero.
Axe — 150 bucks for faster chopping
The axe is sold in the tool shop for 150 in-game bucks, a price two recorded shop visits matched. A player who saved up and bought it tested it against punching and found it cuts faster. If you'd rather spend Robux, the October 12, 2026 store sample listed Axe - One Run for 19 and the Axe Forever pass for 79*.
Its upgrades-tab menu lists speed and damage upgrades plus a radius entry priced 1,000 — what the radius entry applies to isn't stated in the menu. Upgrade purchases must be made in order, so you can't skip ahead to a later entry.
Chainsaw — a 5-minute trial before you buy
You can try the chainsaw before buying it: it comes as a 5-minute trial (Trial Saw). One player picked up a trial from an in-game character offering it and was still using it with about two and a half minutes left on the clock, while another got one and immediately set about harvesting everything in reach, ending up with a huge pile of felled trees.
When you're ready to buy, the October 12, 2026 store sample listed Trial Saw (5 min) for 25 Robux, Chainsaw - One Run for 49 and the Chainsaw Forever pass for 249*. In-game offers have differed at other moments — one player was shown the chainsaw for 9 Robux, and a tool-shop visit marked the trial saw at 10 Robux — so treat every figure as a snapshot. Our Chop A Forest chainsaw guide goes deeper on the tool.
Vacuum — collects the wood instead of cutting it
The vacuum is a tool-shop item with a support role: it collects fallen wood. A player who bought one found it gathered up far more wood far faster than collecting by hand and called it really useful. It appears after the chainsaw in the upgrades tab, and the October 12, 2026 store sample listed Vacuum - One Run for 39 Robux or Vacuum Forever for 199*.
Dynamite — 2,500 cash for a blast from a distance
Dynamite is the tool shop's explosive, priced at 2,500 in-game cash in both shop visits that showed it. Thrown, one blast destroyed about three trees at once, including a tree stump, and in one observation it wasn't on a timer. The October 12, 2026 store sample also listed Dynamite - One Run for 49 Robux and Dynamite Forever for 249*.
How the tool shop and upgrades tab behave
- The tool shop is separate from the classes shop.
- The shop shows three pages, and "new in stock" notifications announce newly available items as they arrive.
- The next biome's shop content stays locked until the current biome is finished, so a tool you're expecting may simply not be stocked in your biome yet.
- The upgrades tab lists the axe, then the chainsaw, then the vacuum, in that order.
Covering the price tags
The axe's 150 bucks comes from chopping and selling logs — one player saved it up during a first session — while dynamite's 2,500 is a much bigger goal. Our how to get coins guide and the codes page can speed up the saving, and the tool progression guide shows how each purchase fits into the bigger picture.
